SOA Update
Hello Biker World
For those of you that watch the FX show, Sons of Anarchy, here is the latest update. Remember to look for the license plate/turn signal relocation kit developed by Great Bike Gear on Tig’s 2010 Dyna Wide Glide
Awesome New 2010 Dyna Wide Glide
Hello Biker World:
I was totally blown away when Harley decided to not make the Dyna Wide Glide anymore. I am personally a Softail, Road Glide guy, but I have always thought the Dyna Wide Glide was soooo Harley. Well they did it again. Just when I thought they were crazy, they came back with something totally awesome!!!
The 2010 FXDWG, Dyna Wide Glide is lean and mean. It really captures the current Harley look. But it does leave you in a fix when it comes to saddlebags. That side mount license plate can be a problem. Which leads me to my story.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by my long time friend, Aimee, from The Leatherworks. Eagle’s Nest Harley Davidson in Lathrop, CA needed help. It seems they had agreed to furnish eight motocycles to FX for the Sons of Anarchy hit tv show and only had ten days to get it done and be ready for the open house featuring cast and crew from the show. The problem was they needed to put saddlebags on the 2010 Dyna Wide Glide and they had no idea how to get it done. So Great Bike Gear went to work. In five days the team had the first prototype of what would eventually be call the 2010 Dyna Wide Glide License Plate / Turn Signal Relocation Kit. The kit was installed on the bike with saddlebags and “Tig” had a motorcyle.
Great Bike Gear has finished the final prototype and will be releasing the kit for sale before Christmas. I have included a picture of the kit installed by Eagle’s Nest. I believe we have a winner. It installs under the rear fender, uses the factory turn signals and keeps the lean and mean look of the bike. You be the judge.
Happy Turkey Day
